Emily Penso
ARTIST
Emily is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the intersection of the internal landscape and the natural world. Inspired by the beauty and curiosities of the world, Emily’s work navigates themes of transformation, impermanence and embodied experience, expressed through symbolic and quietly surreal imagery. Guided by an intuitive and meditative process, she creates pieces that invite sustained contemplation and emotional resonance.Emily completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) at the ANU Canberra School of art in 2003 and has exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions across Australia and internationally. Currently based in regional NSW, Emily’s practice is informed by a close connection to place, seasonal cycles and the subtle interplay between destruction, preservation and renewal.
